Isn't it kind of a raw deal that we're cursed with sin because of one decision made by a guy none of us know?

Yes it is a raw deal, but God had an answer for the sin of humanity and that answer is Jesus Christ, who came down from heaven to die for our sins, that by accepting him we can have forgiveness of sins and eternal life.

We all sin, that is why we are cursed. It's not even's Adam or Eve's sin, it's that they were the first to bring sin into the world. All humans sin and that is why we are cursed.
