In The Empire Strikes Back, The characters are more developed and the story is better. It's a darker film. Luke learns a lot. It's a big turning point from the first film.
A New Hope is how it all began and we see the Hero's Journey played out very well.
The Original Trilogy gets 11 out of 10
The prequels get a 4 out of 10
As a whole the Saga gets a 10 out of 10

The Force is Strong with Dagrun. This is every fans official list and I don't dare disagree. But I'll answer from a personal standpoint rather than the official everyone knows the truth standpoint.
My Favorite Order doesn't reflect the quality of the movies. I was of Star Wars age when ROTJ came out so it is my personal favorite even though I agree with most fans that Empire is the better movie.
Return of the Jedi - 8 of 10
Empire Strikes Back - 11 of 10
New Hope - 10 of 10
Attack of the Clones - 8 of 10
Phantom Menace - 7 of 10
Revenge of the Sith - 6 of 10
Explanations for my second prequel ratings are as follows:
Again, I know this goes against the flow but my reasons are as follows: Revenge of the Sith acting was so terrible I can't forgive Hayden. Also, the reason for turning to the dark side was weak. So weak I wrote my own version of the story to fix it. All my friends have agreed that my story is now official in their minds.
Phantom Menace was as good a "reboot" as any. Nevermind that it was part of the story from the get go. Darth Maul was sick and so was the saber fight at the end.
Attack of the clones was fun, Yoda was badass and showed off Ataru (form IV)for the first time in a movie. And the war on Geonosis was pretty entertaining. And lets not forget the man with the Purple lightsaber. Come on, this movie is better than people give it credit for.

Original Trilogy (10/10)
Return of the Jedi
A New Hope
Empire Strikes back
Prequels (8/10)
Phantom Menace
Revenge of the Sith
Attack of the Clones
I personally loved all the films. Whenever I watch Science Fiction/Fantasy I don't focus on Acting or Visuals. I usually watch it for the story. I honestly thought Anakin was fantastic in trilogy. The only reason I give the Prequels an 8/10 is because it can not compete with the original trilogy, mainly because they got Han Solo.
As a whole, 10/10 I can watch them over and over.

Prequel ranked:
1. Revenge Of The Sith
2. The Phantom Menance
3. Attack Of The Clones
Original ranked:
1. Empire Strikes Back
2. Star Wars
3. Return Of The Jedi.
Ranked together: (this was hard)
1. Empire Strikes Back. A classic. Great science fiction, fantastic action, the characters are better and more well developed. Iconic.
2. Star Wars: Has some of the best music ever put to film. Plus, a great film allround

3. Revenge Of The Sith: Yeah the script sucks and this is more personal preference, but i loved the dark tone and the overall epic scale to it
4. Return Of The Jedi: Besides getting rid of the grimmness and the ending which always seemed a bit too merry, an extremely solid and entertaining movie.
5. Phantom Menance: Darth Maul is great! But it has its flaws- Jar Jar Binks, dialogue, the focus on CGI, etc
6. Attack Of The Clones- it's not , that -bad-, however the romance between Anakin and Padme was really corny and cheesy. This is the guy that's going to be one of the most badass villians ever? I couldn't, and didn't even want to picture it

Original
1 Empire Strikes Back Infinite/Perfect
2 A New Hope Classic
3 Return of the Jedi "only thing i didn't like were the Ewoks and the cheesy end"
the other three
1 Attack of the Clones "Yoda vs Dooku and Obi-wan vs Jango Fett"
2 Phantom of the Menace "Darth Maul/Ray Park is a badass and Jar Jar Binks should of never been made"
3 Revenge of the Sith "Sidious vs Mace and General Grievous is a badass" "I still hate they had to kill Plo Koon off, they should do a live action tv show about lesser known jedis, siths, and bounty hunters. that would be EPIC!"
George Lucas needs to hurry up and start working on episode's 7-9 already

OT: 10/10
Return of the Jedi
Empire Strikes Back
A New Hope
PT: 10/10
Revenge of the Sith
The Phantom Menace
Attack of the Clones
Saga: 10/10
Return of the Jedi
Revenge of the Sith
Empire Strikes Back
The Phantom Menace
A New Hope
Attack of the Clones
Return of the Jedi: The entirety of the scene with The Emporer, Luke and Vader. It is my favorite scene in all of cinema. In general, the redeption of Anakin Skywalker, and Luke's insistance that said redemption is possible. Everytime I see it i get chills.
Revenge of the Sith: Music, choreography, story, scale, tone and cinematography. Watching it, it feels like a documentary of how the entire galaxy went to hell. The fall of the Republic, Anakin Skywalker and the Jedi Order all happen in less than an hour, and Palpatine's decleration of the new order and the march on the Jedi Temple gives me chill every time. The duel on Mustafar is breath taking, with amazing detail in choreography, set, costumes and the like. In general, the **** goes down feel of the movie.

The first trilogy "Star Wars" "Empire" and "Jedi" was not only of blockbuster mateiral they could be considered modern classics
the prequal trilogy "Phantom" "Clones" and "Sith" although the plotline was strong, the scripted dialoge sounded like it was written by a fourth grade illiterate fanfiction writer and totally detracted from the quality of the films and I can think of at least two charicters that should have been recast:
Anakin, both ages
and Jar Jar? don't even get me started on my opinon of Jar Jar

this is silly, the obvious ones are:
Star wars IV: A new hope
Star wars V: Empire
Star wars VI: whatever that one is
and the rest are disregarded as star wars episodes to the star wars fans
