Has anyone been fishing?

If so, had any luck? I haven't been since, late October/early November, I'm starting to get "cabin fever"!

fished up until new years eve. was catching "nebraska tailwalker" rainbows up to 5 pounds (there were larger hooked and lost...) that the lake casitas staff were nice enough to purchase.

but not yet this year. no license yet.

unless you have snow drifts keeping you in you should be able to find some fishing in either your lake or pond. 1/2 and 3/4 ounce jigs with craw trailers, my man. slow it down to just a crawl, try the "ragetail" model.

I would be a year round angler.. Since alot of people (unless ice fishing) don't like winter fishing. BUT quite the contary to stopping when it's too cold... I stop when it's too hot

Not becuase the fish (cause topwater fishing in summer is awesome) But I can only do it on the last couple of topwater feeding days (and the start of summer) most of summer is overunn by mosquitoes, and I take a break cause I don't wanna take the chance of dying from a stupid mosquitoes nile river disease,,,

Yeah I'm kinda... Weird in the least.

Eh... Fishing has been okay, it's better in fall... But winter offers more of a... Challenge.

Haven't caught anything "huge" per say. There was that 2.1 lb bass at the edge of casitas... Perhaps I'm not in the right spot there. I should look around for something better, there are fish in the spot I go in casitas... Just that their mostly small fry. Perhaps the larger fish are on the other side... Hmm

    Anyway

Last time I went fishing was around end of December. I'm in NY and fishing usually stops late November due to the cold temps. Its been a very mild late fall/ early winter. April doesn't look so far away. Just got to find things to do to take your mind off fishing. I'm reading a lot of fishing books on my Kindle, haha, not really taking your mind off it, but trying to gain more knowledge for the up coming season.

Haven't been out on the kayak lately, so no bass. I've been getting a lot of trout on the fly rod however. Give trout fishing a try.
