Getting driver's license over 18 in Massachusetts with permit?

I just got my permit in MA, I'm 21 right now. Can I immediately go for a road test, or what do I need to do to be able to get my full license? I know in some states you have to wait 6 months no matter what, is that the case in Mass?

Update:

Thing is, everywhere that I see the "6 months rule" applies to Junior Operator Licenses, which is NOT what I have. I'd like a LINK or something that can back up the claim that I need to wait six months EVEN IF OVER 18.

Under Massachusetts DMV guidelines, you must be 16 years old to apply for a Learners Permit. Your Permit is valid for 2 years.

All applicants are required pass a written exam and a vision test in order to obtain the permit. You then must hold the learners permit for 6 months prior to applying for a driver's license.

So, unfortunately you have to wait for 6 more months to get your driver license.

And don't worry about that - I have got mine late too :).
