  • Getting driver's license over 18 in Massachusetts with permit?

I just got my permit in MA, I'm 21 right now. Can I immediately go for a road test, or what do I need to do to be able to get my full license? I know in some states you have to wait 6 months no matter what, is that the case in Mass?

  • Calculus antiderivative question (has square roots)?

I'm given f'(x) = 8/sqrt(1-x^2), that is, eight over the square root of (one minus [x squared])

    Also given is f(1/2) = 2

I'm usually able to do these, but the square root thing is really messing me up, help would be appreciated!

  • Related Rates problem, Calculus?

A plane flying horizontally at an altitude of 5 mi and a speed of 510 mi/h passes directly over a radar station. Find the rate at which the distance from the plane to the station is increasing when it is 10 mi away from the station. (Round to the nearest whole number.)

This question confused me a bit, like I know to draw a triangle and stuff, but A. I don't know how to use it, and B. When it says 10 miles away, does it mean horizontally, or 10 direct miles, because it's the difference between being the side or the hypoteneuse.

    Thanks in advance :)

  • A related rates math problem?

A bacteria culture initially contains 100 cells and grows at a rate proportional to its size. After an hour the population has increased to 290.

    (a) Find an expression for the number of bacteria after t hours.

    (b) Find the number of bacteria after 2 hours.

    (c) Find the rate of growth after 2 hours.

    (d) When will the population reach 10,000?

Can someone do these and show me the steps? I've tried them already, but all of my answers are wrong, I must have the steps wrong. Thanks in advance!
