If the offer was high enough.... would you take a bribe?

What price?

Would you ever?

Say you were a judge and someone offered you a bribe... would you ever accept it?

Update:

i didn't mean a court judge... i meant a judge at a competition, a dog show or pageant!

No. I have been put in that position because I was in a position of power and influence. Take a bribe and all you do is enslave yourself. No amount of money will restore your integrity. There is nothing I want that badly that extra money would solve the problem for me.

By definition, yes. If I wouldn't take it, the offer wouldn't be high enough.

I would take bribes in some things, but I don't know whether there are any things where the size of a bribe could not become big enough. If I were a judge, I would need the client to have strong mitigating circumstances for offering me the bribe, or multiple other people threatened in very significant ways.

It'd have to be enough to quit and live off very well for the rest of my life so we're talking 7 digits minimum, but yes. For less, no. Not even 50K to get someone out of a parking fine.

No ifs, ands, or buts, if someone offered me a bribe I might slap the poop out of them. My morals and ethics are set in stone.

    It depends:

If it means im sending an evil man (like genocide dictators, drug producers, rapists, child abusers) then yes.

But for the rest of life situations, provably not...

as a judge, depending what the case was.

example, if it was a murderer/pedo/rapist,anyone who hurt others and would harm others again, i wouldn't take the bribe even if it was billions.

if it was a swindler/ someone who committed fraud with money, then yeah I'd take their bribe if it was large enough.

If they were high I'd probably only shorten the sentence. People are sentenced for a reason so they will be doing time

One should not take bribe whatever the amount it is,whatever the situation it is.in no case one should not take bribe. it will make the society unrest.

  • The work that one has could be long lived. That a single bribe can take it away if being found out.

There will be no peace of mind after it. Especially on a decent job and company.

    Wishing well..!!

Depends on the severity of the crime, lol. If someone is a murderer or molestor, no amount of money could amount to my satisfaction of personally sending them to be raped in prison.
