electric guitar help please?
so i had a guitar since i was about 4 but never learnt to play it until last year, ive taught myself and im now better thaan my friend whos been having lessons for 10 years, anyway now, im getting a bit bored with accoustic and want to move onto electric, and ive been trying really haard for about 3 months, but im not getting any faster at the riffs im learning and having touble with some chords and timings and different sounds :( any advice for me to get better at electric guitar please? thankyou!

its best to practice the same "riff" over and over....don't try to play it at speed. start slow and work your way up. Trying to play it at speed will only frustrate you, your hand needs to remember the riff and wont do it while doing it at speed. and stay on that riff...dont go to others until you have that one down. It may get boring but practice makes perfect.
