Why Did Tebow Get More Attention This Year Than Rodgers?

Seriously was winning a Superbowl last year not enough? ESPN talked about Tebow more than Rodgers and Brady combined, I don't hate him and I know I can "just change the channel" if I'm so sick of it but don't you think it was a little extreme?

Because he was the first NFL player to never quit in a game where his team trailed by 3+ scores.

Because he was the first NFL player to ever believe in, or thank, God.

Because he was the first NFL player who was told he would never make it in the league and subsequently lasted at least 15 starts.

    Oh, wait.....

Because Skip Baseless spearheaded the Tebow hype campaign with his ridiculous "All he does is win!" mantra. ESPN sucks Tebow's dick more than anyone else, really. When I first heard of Tim Tebow and all this hype, I thought, "Wow, he must be a truly elite quarterback to get so much press coverage and attention." However, after watching him play, nope, he's not. He is awful. Just, awful. The only reason why Tebow's getting so much attention is because he's supposedly some underdog, feel good story.

The Packers, for being the defending Superbowl champs, are undeservedly not being recognized enough.

Rodgers probably doesn't mind it, he probably thinks its funny. Rodgers has shown what preparation and hard work can do for an NFL prospect. Each year he has improved, and this year played better then any QB ever. ESPN is a joke and Tim Tebow has not improved at all.

  • i know i feel so bad for rodgers

have you know i'm a huge steelers fan but i actually do like the packers.

it sucks they were undefeated for almost the whole season and have a huge shot at making/winning the bowl for a 2nd year and all you hear is tebow

the media guys are so lame and the reason people like me dont care to much for tebow

I think it may have been because Rodgers has previously established himself as an amazing QB. He did get a fair amount of media attention, though. Tebow took a 1-4 team to the playoffs, and when he's already a good person. The media will eat it up. In a good way, and in a bad way. I think even Cam Newton got more Media Attention than Rodgers.

I do think it was a little extreme. Rodgers is no doubt the NFL MVP this year.

Tebow himself didn't do this. Media overhyped him, for some strange reason. Probably to raise publicity for the idea of a religious debate. I respect Tebow. He's a good person. But reporters and talk shows seem to discuss him slot since he's such a debatable topic. Again, nothing he can do to stop it. It's just what's "in" with the public right now

He got Attention because the Broncos started out at 1-4...Then in comes Tebow...they win a couple of games now all of sudden he's the Great One...Tebow is a Gold Mine for Ratings...That's all he is.

Yes. And it shouldn't be that way. Rodgers is a much better QB than Tim Tebow and he should have gotten more attention this season.

    Tim Tebow has a personality.

Mr. Rogers is a boring, empty f_king NOTHING.

Nobody gives a damn what he says, thinks, or does.
