Is anyone thinking Samsung is making a mistake with the galaxy 7.7?

they kept us in the dark for I don't know how long, jerked us around about whether or not it's coming to the U.S and then when the big announcement came we learn it'll be a contract tablet. I don't know about anyone else but as for me I have enough contracts and monthly bills to worry about, I certainly don't want the burden of paying a bill to own a tablet. if Samsung hopes to compete with Apple and other big company names than this just won't do, and no mention of a WiFi only version coming. also pricing plays a big part of it too, you can't very well ask a hefty price for said tablet and then expect people to slap down more green for a monthly service. I really am disappointed in Samsung, but I did read where a WiFi version would be coming to Canada. if anyone can confirm this it might be a little sliver lining somewhere, please give me you're thoughts am I just in what I'm saying?

Samsung is going in a not too great direction right now with their products, just like Acer. Motorola may actually end up being the better tablet manufacturer since Google is buying Motorola's mobile division.
