How do I transfer a program to another computer?

Question

Hey there, I got a new computer not too long ago - and I was wondering how I can go about transferring some of my programs from my old one to this one without connecting them to a network (or even connecting the old one up to the internet.) 

I'm trying to transfer some of my photoshop & art programs is there a way to zip them & install on this new computer? 
And no - I no longer have any of the installation disks :(

I think you can. But maybe. You can try it.

Just go to your program folders. Usually it's located in C&#92;Program Files. Copy the files you wanted to move to your new computer. Then copy the .exe file (for example iTunes.exe, etc) to your desktop, or create shortcut of the file, then cut the shortcut to your desktop, or right-click the file and pin it to taskbar or your start menu. Voila.

I usually do it that way and it works. But I'm not sure about yours.

Not possible - what IS possible on the other hand is swapping the old harddrive into the new computer (and upgrading the operating system if necesary). 

Try contacting the support departments for these companies for replacement disks, the serial should be able to be obtained within the program.

If it were very few archives that you had to move, then a flashpersistent would do the trick correct. even as it includes put in classes although, they produce different archives that are required with the intention to run (e.g. dll archives, libraries, and also registry settings). there's a application called PCmover from LapLink which will ensure out each of the dependencies and allow you to move put in classes from one pc to a distinct. in reality you connect both computers with a usb archives cable, and then classes are copied from one pc to a distinct.
