When you hear the term "liberal" what comes to mind?

Jack Kennedy and his brothers and sisters; Lyndon Johnson, Jimmy Carter, Bill and Hilary Clinton, Barack Obama; Nancy Pelosi, Barney Frank, Alan Grayson, Barbara Boxer, John Kerry, Frank Lautenberg; Supreme Court Chief Justice Earl Warren, Justices William O. Douglas, William Brennan, Thurgood Marshall.

And the ONLY liberal in American government whom I respect: Justice Hugo Black.

The label has been demonized and maligned for so long that I don't think one way or the other about it unless it is in a truly literal sense.

BTW, I find it now disturbing that some conservatives are now trying to demonize the word "moderate.". So now these people want to shut out the world but themselves and just want to suppress everyone who disagrees with them... even if its just a slight disagreement.

People who feel compelled to share other people stuff with those they feel are more deserving in an attempt to recuse themselves from any fault and responsibility in my opinion
