Why does this happen?

Okay. I have a Nalgene bottle and I only put water in it. Once in a while it gets kind of cloudy on the inside. Like when you make lemonade from a mix and drink it from a disposable bottle. I clean it out with a washcloth and that fixes it. My question is, what makes it do that? Is it residue from food I eat? I'm thinking it might be but I wanted to ask you guys what you think. So thanks in advance. :)

I could be hard mineral deposits in the water, or it could be your backwash. (Don't laugh, we all do it whether we realize it or not.)
