On an application can I just put the number of the store, where it says "phone number of previous employer"?
I had previously worked at Kohls and had several different supervisors. On this new particular application it asks for the name of the supervisor and a space for a phone number is made available. Is it ok if i simply put the number of the Kohl's that i worked at, even if the person reviewing the application will have to be transferred through the phone to a supervisor?

Yes but if you want to really get this job, call the Kohls that you worked at and speak with the most current supervisor that works there that knows your former supervisor or who you know and get their direct number and let them know that you have put them on a job application. So in case they do call, they will be prepared to give you a great recommendation.
