SOPA is a backwards step in liberty and freedom in the United States. As almost all things going around congress are now, it is meant to benefit the people "on top," so to speak, at the cost of everyday people. The difference is, SOPA is not about costing us money, (although it ultimately would) it costs us freedom. Pretty low for a free nation. America used to be great. What happened? We let the people on top take a hold of our nation and control it. Only we can take it back. Hopefully SOPA will stir a few people to life in terms of protesting for peace and freedom, not just money.
