Who gets paid more, a Photographer or a Graphic designer?
A photographer who photographs engagement pictures, babies, landscapes, that kind of thing Vs. a Graphic designer who mainly does Skateboard designs and sometimes other commercial projects on the side, who, in your opinion, should or does get paid more?
(It's for my story, they're the two job choices)
Or, is there a job that combines these things..?
This particular graphic designer uses both the computer and paints/pencils/graphite/pens/canvases to draw out his designs, which I'm sure would also add to the cost of things.

Depends on the company they work for and the level they're at. But let's say they both stand the same level, but a graphic designer mainly uses a computer to work while a photographer needs things like a set, studio, props and upgrades for camera parts and lenses and they are quite expensive.

My advice, as a graphic designer, is to go for design. There are more opportunities out there for graphic artists (tons of different things you can do such as catalogs, brochures, logo design, magazine layout etc) - Much less area to become a decently paid photographer. Build your photography knowledge while earning money as a designer, then you can start incorporating your photography with your design work and could end up doing both things you love and making more money.

Both make the same depends on how much your work & how many clients you have.
