Getting ready to rent out our townhouse?
I want to get a head start on preparing our two level townhouse for rent. This is going to be my first time so I need advice; should I concentrate on making the interior look "neutral" so that the renter can design/decorate however they please? Or should I spend a little extra money to put "style" in to the rooms?
Any advice/suggestions/links to helpful websites/books greatly appreciated.

The renter will rent your home according to their requirements. You don’t have to do any styling, however, you do have to make sure that there are no cracks and that all installations and services are working well. The renter should feel comfortable in your home and know that they will not have to face any termite, bed bugs, roaches, pests, leaks or moisture problems. Invest your money in ensuring your home is safe and comfortable rather than in styling it.

Don't overspend on a rental property. Nothing fancy because you will have to do the repairs, repaint the walls and maintain the property. The best choice is a uniform off white or light beige. Buy an extra gallon to use for spots that need a touch up.
I also suggest http://mrlandlord.com/ for a web site that offers all kinds of landlord advice, tools, experience and all things relating to being a successful landlord.
