Transfer VHS videos from camcorder to computer.?
My camcorder is an older JVC VHS type and I need a cable to hookup to my computer so I can download them and burn to DVD if possible. The only cables out of the camcorder are the 2 out to a tv.There is also a 4 pin connector out if this may work.I have found lots of cables but there are none that will connect from camcorder to computer. Is there another way to get them onto the computer for burning.

It takes more than a cable to convert analog to digital.
ANALOG
*If you have an analog (VHS) camcorder
or VHS-c...
You need an analog converter, either internal card or external such as the dazzle. It's very easy to use and come with good software. You would hook your analog VHS camera or VCR to the analog converter, the dazzle and then hook the dazzle to your PC. The dazzle cost around 85.00 , but worth the money if you have a lot of VHS to tapes to convert.
Anytime you convert analog to digital, you will lose quality, but loss of quality is better than losing all those old memories.
**Please Note There is no 8mm or Hi 8 to VHS Adapter that currently exists. This type of VHS Adapter only exists with VHS-C tape
They also make VHS to DVD recorders and they work fine for home movies that you don't want to edit. They do not work on copyrighted DVD's.
