That would be prehistory when were still animals and had not yet become human. Even Neanderthal buried their dead, an indication of belief in the afterlife. Our nearest simian cousins, the Chimpanzees, may sit with a dead mother or infant for a few days, but they abandon the body afterwords.

Magical thinking and superstitions dominate some cultures of the last 300 years. If you distinguish superstition beliefs in "malicious spirits" from religion, then the time before religion arose from magic and superstition would be what you want--still prehistory.

Recorded, no. Religion appears to have been around since before the time that humans started to record anything.

There is a South American tribe that does not have any religion and appears not to have had one for a very long time, but it's not possible to trace it back and see when that started, or if it's always been that way.

The first ever mention of worship was in Genesis 22:5..... Before that , there was no apparent recording of religion/worship of any kind. Course doesn't mean it is necessarily so...in that before the Genesis flood, man was probably bowing down to every form of "god" they could conjure up....

Yes and Atheists want to go back to this.

Nephew, I will tell you what you ask with great pleasure, and you should preserve what I have to say in your heart . . . . Know, then, that in ancient times, all this region which you see was covered with forests and thickets, and the people lived like wild beasts, without RELIGION, or government, or town, or houses, without cultivating the land, or clothing their bodies, for they knew not how to weave cotton nor wool to make clothes. They lived two or three together in caves, or clefts in the rocks, or in caverns underground. They ate the herbs of the field and roots or fruit like wild animals, and also human flesh. They covered their bodies with leaves and the bark of trees, or with the skins of animals. In fine, they lived like deer or other game, and even in their intercourse with women, they were like brutes; for they knew nothing of living with separate wives.

Every people on every continent record something similar to this.

Adam & Eve had a direct relationship with God. They had no need to create a religion.

Anything before the first ever religion?

If you want a recorded time then it would be when early humans first arrived.
