Is there Horseback riding apparel that will help to support/cushion testicles?
My boyfriend and I love horseback riding, but he just ends up in so much pain 'down below'....is there riding apparel that will give him more support and cushioning?
Thanks :)
Lol....I agree if he sits correctly it shouldn't hurt....considering we'll be riding Paso Finos, it should be even easier for him, however he has considerable trouble finding the 'sweet spot' with the reins to attain that smooth gait....also he doesn't always get to ride the same horse. He doesn't have much experience and we don't get the opportunity to ride very often and it's always just for pleasure as supposed to formal lessons, so I was just hoping to find a quick and comfy fix for him!

I saw a tip in a riding magazine once where a guy claimed those padded bicycling shorts help tremendously. Of course, proper riding helps, but long rides can chafe ya up some. I am guessing you could wear those shorts underneath if you do not want em on the outside. I did see an ad for a padded brief for this as well.
Thinking of getting these for those thirty mile back country pack rides.

I know that for women Dover Saddlery has special riding underwear, but I don't recall seeing men's in there...
My biggest advice would be a Tush Cushion. They come for both english and western and have a variety of padding levels, you can get really thin ones or pillow-like ones. Feel better!

He is at serious risk of testicular cancer if he keeps hurting himself like this. He needs to find his seat bones and a few lungeing lessons should sort this out so that he will find them as soon as he gets on any horse.
