I need a program that can record a lecture in class as a transcript?
some kind of speech to text program for windows 7... the freer the better. I have dysgraphia and taking notes manually is more trouble than it's worth.

As the other user has said, voice recognition programmes currently available (such as Dragon Speak) require intensive usage before voice recognition is achieved. Furthermore, in order to prevent multiple usage and owing perhaps to insufficient technical development, these Programmes can only recognize the voice of one person.
I am a sufferer of dysgraphia and a university lecturer. Whilst reading for my undergrad degree, I developed my own form of "shorthand" (actually, I developed it in high school and refined it at varsity) that allowed me to take notes (although they were horrendously messy). In my post-graduate studies, I relied on taking notes (again in self-styled shorthand) on my laptop.
My students who have dysgraphia use various methods. One tape-records his lectures, whereas others request that I email them the PowerPoint slides I have based my lecture in class on. Most use Dragon Speak when writing their essays and assignments. It boils down to what works best for you and is something only you can figure out (through trial and error).
Please do tell your lecturers about the learning difficulties you experience, as we are obliged to ensure that you are accommodated.

While affirmative motion can have in part accounted for Obama's attendance at Columbia and Harvard, affirmative motion by myself can not get anyone into the ones colleges. You nonetheless must be lovely rattling shrewd. You quite simply did not quote the facet of the object that mentioned that Obama got honors even as attending Harvard Law. The certainly clarification is that he goofed off for the period of his undergrad years and acquired grades he is not happy with.

You got a long wait then! They still haven't mastered speech to text in a small, quiet room with these programs yet. Even under perfect conditions, it takes months to train these programs to a persons voice.
