Agriculture terminology help?
I have a statement I need to do a debate on, but I'm not sure what one of the words mean.
This is the statement;
"The Canadian Wheat Board cannot survive without it's monolopy on wheat and barley sales."
I'm confused at the word monolopy..?

I'm not Canadian, but I believe that the board controls the grain trade, setting the price rather than letting competition set the price. That's what a monopoly is, where there is no competition between buyers or sellers.

A monolopy is a misspelled monopoly.See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monopoly
