  • First time shopping lifting, over 18. do I have to go to court?

I lifted razors from Zellers and got caught. they said they'd mail me a fine, but since it was my first time I was released and didn't have to talk to any police officers.

I'm confused if I have to go to court or not?

  • what makes a wine glass good quality?

I want to buy my mom a wine glass for her birthday because she enjoys wine, but I don't really know anything about it myself. Is a $5 wine glass cheap? also are coloured wine glasses considered less elegant and beautiful? I saw a wine glass with a purple gradient on it for $5 at a kitchen appliances store and I thought it was really pretty but I don't know. should I go to a specialty wine store and look there?

  • Chocolate cake frosting?

I'm planning to make a piano cake, so I need dark frosting for it. Would it work if just melted dark chocolate and spread it over the cake? I know it will harden again, that's not a concern. but I've never done it before. will the chocolate crack and fall off the cake?

  • Agriculture terminology help?

I have a statement I need to do a debate on, but I'm not sure what one of the words mean.

    This is the statement;

"The Canadian Wheat Board cannot survive without it's monolopy on wheat and barley sales."

I'm confused at the word monolopy..?

  • Is it normal to always tear up more in one eye?

I know this isn't reliable, but I saw a post on tumblr that said when the first tear leaves the left eye it's pain, when when it leaves the right eye it's joy. And that got me thinking because my right eye is always more teary. If I'm crying or if my eyes just happen to water, it's most likely the right eye that has more tears.

so my question is, is this normal or could there be an underlying psychological reason for this?

i'm completely serious by the way.

they mostly feel heavy, like when I take my bra off the upper area feels pain. and when I go up or down stairs it hurts unless i put my hand on them to keep them from moving too much. arrg this only recently started. I don't think it's my bra because I measured myself and I have the right size.

  • Is learning violin at 18 a good idea?

I haven't actually started yet, but I really want to. but I never hear of people starting at 18, usually people start at 5 or something crazy. I'm not aiming to play professionally in an orchestra, just as a hobby. I play piano too.

does anyone who play violin have a recommendation whether I should start or not?

also I'm left handed, I'd play normally. not sure if this would make it even harder or not..

  • first year university adivce?

okay so I'm in my first year of university and it's only been 2 weeks. I registered for some nursing courses because that's what I thought I wanted to go into, but now I've changed my mind. I want to take some higher science courses because the science courses required for nursing don't go as deep into it.

However it's already been two weeks and a lot of the courses are three times a week, which means I've missed six lectures already.

I want to drop the nursing courses but if I do I won't have many left (only chemistry and physics for this term. I changed my courses accordingly for the next term).

So basically my problem is dropping courses is no problem, but it's risky to sign up for new courses this late into the term, I don't know if I should do it or not.

does anybody who has gone through university have any advice?

I feel like if I drop courses and don't register for new ones my first term will be so empty and unproductive.

  • is it okay to wash chiffon in water?

there is a foundation stain on my chiffon dress, I was told to wash it with water and dish soap to remove it. but I read that water stains chiffon..so won't that make it worse? ><

Also, I bought my dress online and it didn't come with a tag so I don't know what type of chiffon it is.

  • How much does it cost to change a regular violin into a left hand one?

Approximately. I really want to learn violin but I'm left handed. I know left handed violins are really hard to find, especially in small cities and towns. So I figured I can get one changed, but im wondering if it will cost a lot.
