How to convince parents to have a facebook?

My parents wont allow me to have a facebook. I am 13 and im a girl. Ive tried to bring up the situation with them, but they said its because i "dont need a facebook." i know they trust me(i hope) yet they still wont give me one. I think of facebook as a way to socialize with other people, so idk what the problem is. What are some good wways to help me get one?

    facebook is a place where u can socialise with others and if u dont have facebook u gonna miss out on wht ur friends are doing
