I think sandplan is right. He's trying too hard. He's trying to be all things to all people, and this is not a good time for that approach. I'm not a Republican and wouldn't vote for one on a bet. But I think Romney is the most 'president-like' of all the candidates. He would definitely be better in the general election than any of the other Repub. candidates. But he has this really unfortunate habit of tripping over his own persona. He can't be honest and he can't lie convincingly. 8^P

Trying too hard...has a rough time being relaxed and natural..which is very "trying" on the nerves of his listeners.

Yes he is.. he will probably win but now he knows it won't be so easy.
