Can people with different religions still go to heaven?

I have been contemplating about this a lot, but I don't wanna seem like I contradict my religion or anything. I only just wonder about it, though it's only for God to decide. Anyway, my question is that do you think that by believing in that "particular" religion and abiding by its rules, can make that person go to heaven? Simply by just believing in "that" religion? Thing is, there are so many people with different religions in life and if it claims to be true that people with that belief alone gets to go to heaven, that would seem so unfair, don't you think. :( What happens to the rest?? One could imagine the amount of people who'd end up in hell even though they have led a life sincerely. I mean, I really do believe in God, but honestly, when reading the history on the crusade, Iraq war, etc...mainly the ones that involved Islam, Christians and Jews makes me wonder how it had left an sad indelible stain on the world's view of religion. Why have they wasted money on golden thrones, ridiculous palaces, WEAPONS and etc and not bothered to even feed the poor and do what is right. Sadly, instead, to those who have been corrupted with evil, to even consider waging war in the name of religion but with a terrible outcome to it like in causing many innocent sacrifices. All seemed to be done in vain and absolutely for nothing. Of all the simplest deeds that can be done like helping the needy and being kind to others are ignored except the thought of making sure their machine guns are in stock instead @_@". I agree that it is not that religion that corrupts man, but that man corrupts religion. I am not trying to cause a stir here by the way. I am merely wondering as to what you may think. I'm Moslem, but I always wonder about others who believe in what they believe in, and I believe that to those who have been sincere and kind to people and have done nothing to deserve a glare from God should be deserved a chance to go to heaven. I just know that every religion has good intentions, it's just that they work differently. Oh yea, and I realised that if a possessed victim could be exorcised through prayers, regardless of religious methods, why has some proven that the Devil fears those words hurt the Devil. Words/phrases/verses like from the Bible and Koran, for example. Anyway, I feel that we still have hope in getting our way to heaven. I hope I am not offending some people. Normally topics like these appear sensitive but I just hope some open-minded people would answer this. And I hope God understands my curiosity :-/

God is not a religion and the bible is His words given to men of His choice. If you love God then you would want to read what He said. In the bible God said that no sinner can go to heaven and we are all sinners. God loves all of us and wants us to live with Him in His kingdom forever so He gave us a way to have our sins forgiven and that way is by accepting the sacrifice of His son Jesus for our sins. It's by that act of faith that our spirit will go to God immediately after we die. However we must also live a life that God says to live and to love Him and your neighbor as He also says. So we do not need any religion or church to make us right with God. Pray to Him and repent of your sins with humility in the name of Jesus and He will forgive you.

Fanatical Christian extremists have caused so much divisions and confusion within its own institutions that it has become a human created abomination`.

There is a story of a Buddhist monk who practiced service and altruism all his life. When he died he bumped into St Peter who greeted him at the ``gates`` and was glad. The Buddhist looked around and was enjoying the beauties of heaven and all of the beautiful souls there in. The monk then saw a group of other souls who seemed to have separated themselves ,and could be seen in the distance far away. The Buddhist monk then asked St Peter who these other separated souls were, and why they were cut off from everybody else`,- Then St Peter said - ``oh those are Christian fundamentalists,- we must be quiet and not disturb them when we past by them``,- the Buddhist asked why, - and St Peter replied,- ``well because they think the are the only ones here!!!.

  • John 14:6: "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man comes to the Father except through me."

    That's pretty self-explanatory.

Christians go to Muslim hell then Muslims go to Christian hell.. Then everybody else goes to hell because we didn't believe either.

See how religion works? It doesn't.

All religions are wrong, or they are all right. Pick a side.

    Matthew 25:31-46

    Contemporary English Version (CEV)

    The Final Judgment

31When the Son of Man comes in his glory with all of his angels, he will sit on his royal throne. 32The people of all nations will be brought before him, and he will separate them, as shepherds separate their sheep from their goats.

33He will place the sheep on his right and the goats on his left. 34Then the king will say to those on his right, "My father has blessed you! Come and receive the kingdom that was prepared for you before the world was created. 35When I was hungry, you gave me something to eat, and when I was thirsty, you gave me something to drink. When I was a stranger, you welcomed me, 36and when I was naked, you gave me clothes to wear. When I was sick, you took care of me, and when I was in jail, you visited me."

37Then the ones who pleased the Lord will ask, "When did we give you something to eat or drink? 38When did we welcome you as a stranger or give you clothes to wear 39or visit you while you were sick or in jail?"

40The king will answer, "Whenever you did it for any of my people, no matter how unimportant they seemed, you did it for me."

41Then the king will say to those on his left, "Get away from me! You are under God's curse. Go into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels! 42I was hungry, but you did not give me anything to eat, and I was thirsty, but you did not give me anything to drink. 43I was a stranger, but you did not welcome me, and I was naked, but you did not give me any clothes to wear. I was sick and in jail, but you did not take care of me."

44Then the people will ask, "Lord, when did we fail to help you when you were hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in jail?"

45The king will say to them, "Whenever you failed to help any of my people, no matter how unimportant they seemed, you failed to do it for me."

46Then Jesus said, "Those people will be punished forever. But the ones who pleased God will have eternal life."
