Stocking question for aquarium?

I have a 29G cichlid tank with a 4.5 inch red cherry cichlid and 2 4 inch blue zebras. they are not agressive towards one another. assuming i get a more powerful filter, how can i arrange the rocks to accomadate 2 more cichlids? Should i spread them out along the bottom with lots of low caves or just make a huge pile with few caves?

I'd personally spread them out with lots of low caves, I am assuming you aren't mixing species of cichlids because they wouldn't be a good idea with a small tank. You would be pushing it to add 2 more but I think with a good filter you can do it.
