Yea - and how many more jobs would be made when we have to build another pipeline to bring fresh potable water into the area the leaks from the pipeline contaminated?

The pipeline company took years to prepare their plan - our government should have adequate time to review the plan and ensure it will not jeopardize the quality of life for those people who live in the effected areas.

Even a Major oil company in Montana who says they have made arrangements with the pipeline company to move their oil from Montana to Texas says holding up the pipeline until the studies are complete is the right thing to do.

Those complaining now will also be the first to complain if the pipeline is approved and results in contamination of our most Precious resource - water!

Hopefully, this additional context will help.

Fact #1. The Keystone Pipeline was part of a larger package that the Republicans sought to ram through for passage.

Fact #2. Obama declined the bill because such a proposal required EPA review beyond the 60 days that the Reps sought for its passage. He's actually supports the bill.

Fact #3. The Canadian Company of the pipeline had yet to satisfy the State of Nebraska's environmental requirements as well.

Fact #4.

So ask yourself, who's really playing politics here? How is it that the Republicans were unaware of the EPA requirements for such a massive project?

Arm yourself with the whole truth and not choice bits and pieces of it.

In closing, please find the courage to accept that America is in a crisis due to the convenient ineptitude of both Political Parties, and the blame for this fiasco is equally shared.

Its amazing on how the number of supposed Keystone jobs keeps increasing. Why just last week it was estimated at 20 to 40 K.

There are problems with those guesstimates. Even the 5000 number is an exaggeration.
