Do you think the Newcastle Knights under Wayne Bennett will win the 2012 premiership?
21 seasons and six premierships as coach of the Brisbane Broncos and three seasons and a premiership as coach of the St. George Illawarra Dragons, the Supercoach Wayne Bennett will coach his next team in 2012, the Newcastle Knights. Smart, intelligent and proactive for two and a half decades of first grade coaching, Bennett will have more in store for the Knights to turn things around as the club struggled on the field over the recent years. So do you think the Knights under the coaching king will win the premiership in 2012?

I have to say the main concern for Bennett won't be injuries or other teams but Tinkler. He has shown he wants to get involved and he has done this with his horses and the Jets. It wouldn't surprise to see Bennett move on. Bennett has the ability but Tinkler has the money.

Not in 2012-2015. Might come close in 2015 to top 4, but no premiership. Question is, Will Wayne Bennett keep coaching the Knights until he wins a premiership? This could take him into his early 90's.

In all honesty, not the 2012 premiership, but most likely within the next 3 seasons afterwards. They are paying $8 NZ to win the comp, I can see why because they have Bennet as coach, but I dont think they have that great of a team this year. I dont think Boyd will play that great with Gidley in the team. I think one of their ego's will get in the way of team victories.
My 2 cents.

Probably not in 2012 but their chances will improve in 2013-2015. I think it's will be far too big a turnaround from last year to winning this year with pretty much their core group of players all shifting positions.

It's certainly possible, the Roosters made the grand final after getting the spoon the previous year.
Maybe not this year but the pressure and expectation will be on to win one after that.
