Is there a program like Reimage that will fix any problems with my Windows 7 installation?

Preferably one that doesn't require me to burn it to a disc OR pay for it, because I can't afford either of those options.

I have used reimage, as a pro engineer on a 30 day trial. I can say it will not fix any problem. At best it fixed 3 out of 10 which had registry problems, and failed on several others with more varied issues. I found it swept a lot of problems under the carpet by disabling a lot of startup program with msconfig, but that's enough of a rant about reimage.

I have been repairing PCs for a living for 7 years, and repaired over 7000. In my experience there are loads of "jack of all trades" fixing programs, but as the saying continues "master of none". You are better off selecting a program best suited to the type of issue. For example, Malwarebytes for viruses, HDTune for hard drive testing, memtest86 for RAM, R-Tools for recovery etc.

In summary I have seen no wonder tool with the calibre to beat all problems. When you find one, let me know, and if it's free I'll fall over backwards!
