Help with grades/grading?
okay, so my grade in history is 75. my term project is worth 25% of my grade and i got an 85 on it. what would my 75 turn into? or atleast tell me how to do the math.
but i'm only averaging for this term, not four.

Look at it this way.
If your present 75 and your term project grade had equal weight, the average would just be 75 + 85 = 160/2 = 80
However, they do not have equal weight. Your term paper is worth 1/4 of your present 75. So your new average is
75 +75 + 75 + 85 = 310/4 (because now you are averaging 4 terms) = 77.5
