Perhaps they believe you have no authority to demand any justification and any attempt to directly answer would only expand your delusional sense of self-importance.

As a prosecuting attorney once told a judge on my behalf that instead of the arresting officer's accusations of "possession with intent to deliver", it seemed to him that I was just wanted some "good weed" for myself.

How did he know it was good weed? The "evidence" wasn't in court.

My attorney said, "that $2,000 (cash) is for me and that $2,000 (cash) is for 'them'".

No receipt from either?

I take it you would rather keep it illegal and keep that kind of corruption going.

Edit: Forty plus years of smoking pot, I learned that generally speaking a person who is "lethargic" and "non-productive" is that way while straight, too. The fact you have lethargic and nonproductive help is more indicative of your failure to judge potential laborers accurately and not due to the pot.

I can guarantee that some of your most diligent and productive workers also enjoy pot based on my knowledge of hundreds of known smokers, all professional, highly educated, successful and motivated people.

I haven't met one person who has a good reason for smoking weed. There is never a good reason for smoking, drinking or doing drugs. I smoke cigarettes and drink alcohol because I enjoy those things very much. I hate pot. But there is no way to justify it.
