How many piercings is "too many"?

I'm a 15 year old girl and i have my ears double pierced, my cartilage pierced and my nose pierced. I'm by no means "goth" or whatever, I take all AP classes and I have friends, etc. But I'm considering getting a third lobe piercing on one side and also a tragus piercing. Would that be too much?

Do whatever you like within what your parents allow. It's your life. Personally, I don't like a ton of ear piercings. I think it just looks like overkill, to the point it looks kind of cheap. BUT, if it's what YOU want, do it =) Who cares what other people think as long as you like it?

I don't think it's too much, per say, but I do think that since you're 15, you're young, and you might want to wait a couple more years to make sure you really want the piercings. When I was 15, I wanted my nose, tongue, eyebrow, hips, and naval pierced, as well as 2 more piercings on each of my ears, in addition to the one I already had. My parents said no, but the summer I was 15, they did let me get my naval done. After that, the urge to get the other piercings ceased. I got second holes in my ears twice, both times they got infected because they used piercing guns and I'm allergic to the stuff in the Ear Care. After about a year of my naval piercing getting caught on a bunch of junk, pussing from trauma, and swelling from getting caught all the time, I took the ring out and let it heal up. A couple months ago, I DID get my second holes done one more time at the body artist's, and used H2Ocean instead of Ear Care, and those are fine. Completely healed up, and healthy. Now, I don't want any of those other piercings. So, from my own experience, I would definitely advise you to wait a few years to make SURE those piercings are what you really want. Remember, the piercings can wait, but the scars they'll leave if you change your mind last a VERY long time, especially the ones with the thicker posts.

that's not a lot, but at that age if it's okay with your parents that's what matters

I didn't get my next piercing other than my lobes until I was 17 (22 now), and the majority of my piercings that I have are on my ears, 6 on my right, 4 on my left (lost an industrial on my left :( it rejected )2 tongue, my belly, and did have my nose done (fell out)

and have quite a few more planned to get

and unless I have my hair up, people think I just have my tongue pierced

but what you have planned, go for it I don't think it's too many at all

It's all about personal style and taste. I have three lobe piercings in each ear, two cartilage piercings in my right ear, my nose is pierced on the left side, I had my septum for a bit, used to have a monroe, and I've had my belly button done. I didn't have my septum and monroe at the same time, though.

Honestly. Not at all ! My bestfriend actually has like 11, 12 piercings in just one ear! The other side has 2 or 3 lobe piercings & her cartilidge! Along w. Her nose pierced and she had her lip done to , but took it out cayse of Softball & volleyball! But, It doesnt look tacky at all. Really cute actually. And she is 15 also.

So, if you want it, go for it, my mom has 3 holes (lobes) and used to have her nose and bellybutton done also ! So i think it woould look great ! I'd get it ! (:

i am all for peircings, especially at the teenage years. id rather my children peirce than get tatoos. piercings can be remooved and a teen can get away with it. as an adult it becomes more taboo but let the kids have fun with it. im 30 now and have had my ears (multiples), lip, eyebrow (multiples), nipples, and navel peirced and was gonna peirce my d*ck, but my girlfriend and now my wife of many years didnt want me to do that, so i didnt. i had to filter into society and get a job and work in a sales enviorment and have only two peircings left, (on my nipples). nobody would expect i did these things as a youth (i was a hard core punk rock guy, appearance and lifestyle, not a hot topic pop punk of today). anyway peircings on teens really is harmless if the teen knows what their priorities are and is not following a degenerate path mentally i do have to say thogh, the nose peircing, especially on girls, is the most classless and trashy peircing you can put on your body. i let my two girls get any piercings they wanted, but the nose is absolutley off limits. peircings at the adult age, unless done tastefully, are trashy

It's all about your style. Personally, I feel that's a lot of piercing just on your ears and face. Good thing about piercings is you can always mix and match and you don't have to wear them all at once. Piercings (and tattoos) can be addictive and sometimes less is more.

However many you're uncomfortable with. But, remember, your style and comfort zone may change.
