So Romney gave 15% to Charity, Obama 1% and Biden $369?

Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama and his wife Michelle gave $10,772 of the $1.2 million they earned from 2000 through 2004 to charities, or less than 1 percent, according to tax returns for those years released today by his campaign.

The Obamas increased the amount they gave to charity when their income rose in 2005 and 2006 after the Illinois senator published a bestselling book. The $137,622 they gave over those two years amounted to more than 5 percent of their $2.6 million income.

Romney charitable contributions

Tax year Taxable income Charitable donations Donations as % of income

2010 $21.7 million $2.98 million 13.73%

2011 (est) $20.9 million $4 million 19.14%

So who's greedy now?

You'll never get a far left liberal to admit that Romney is actually a decent and generous man because they all want so desperately to believe that the rich are evil.

According to his recently released 2010 tax return, Mitt Romney and his wife gave slightly less than 14 percent of their adjusted gross income to charity.

Newt gave 2.6 percent of his.

The Obamas gave 14 percent of their earnings.

His faith calls for him to donate a particular percentage of his income or lose his temple recommend, so i'm no longer particular how a lot compassion has to do with it. yet I also dont understand why people have a challenge jointly with his funding income being taxed at 15 p.c., even as investments are bought with income that has already been taxed at larger costs...a 2d tax on an similar funds. and that i agree that maximum liberals are extra desirous to spend people's funds on the detrimental, rather than their very own.

I hope you realize that Romney is part of the LDS faith. His money that he has given them is expected of him to give. They demand their members to give 10%of what they have, to be in good standing with the church. Also they use money like his to build lavish multi million dollar temples around the country. Who needs a temple made from ebony from africa. Come on that is not a donation for the good of humanity. Donations for charity are donations that help people who are suffering. The LDS faith is not suffering, I am sure Romney has funded 10 temples alone over the years.

Your information reminds that Obama and his cronies prefer that government fulfill all needs, with charitables donations undermining that effort.

Apparently he and Biden donate as their consciences dictate. That's not saying much for their social responsibility.

I thought Romney was smart with his money.

So he gave his money away to a bunch of deluded sheep who have entire cults believing in garbage belief systems?

That supposed to be a good 'charitable' investment'?

How about you give money away to actually help folks, just to help them, rather than making sure they believe in garbage before you help them.

The Mormon Chuch is not a valid charity and donating is MANDATORY.
