Do women cheat on jerks?

For women, one of the major predictors of fidelity/infidelity is satisfaction with the relationship. So I would suppose that her cheating is much more likely if she interprets him to be a jerk. That doesn't mean that it's his fault, or that women only cheat on jerks. A woman can interpret a wonderful partner to be a jerk, and interpret a jerk to be a wonderful partner. Or she could be satisfied/dissatisfied due to factors other than his behavior.

I personally don't know of any women who cheated on a jerk, they typically try to stick it out for whatever reason.

I myself walked out on a jerk, would never have cheated on him, but god, was it good to be free from jerk-dom. I'm with a non-jerk guy, he has absolutely no jerk qualities. And I certainly appreciate that.

there's a certain segment of the female population that cheats.

there's also a segment of those that may or may not find jerks attractive as boyfriends or as the guy on the side.

either way, the aforementioned groups have one unifying attribute - the presence of a hazy fog that lives in the space between their ears.

I think cheating its not about the other person but our (men as women too) will to do it. It doesn't matter is your partner is a saint or a loser, if you want to have something with some one else you will do it. Looking at the cheater´s partner is deflecting the guilt and the responsibility for the betrayal.
