Mexico hurricane season?

Hello,

I was wondering if someone can help me?

I am looking to book a holiday to Mexico end of September for 2 weeks.

I understand this is the hurricane season, is the worst month for hurricane season? or are there not many around that time?

I also heard it depends where you go in mexico..

I am looking to say in El Dorado Seaside Suites in Riviera Maya.

Also is this a good hotel?

    It is hurricane season ( hurricane season is 6 months long) and the southeast coast and the Yucatan peninsula are the areas most often hit by hurricanes. Sept. and Oct. are the most common months for storms. See site below.

    The end of september and beginning of october are THE most probable times a hurricane will hit. I've been living in southern Mexico for the last 25 years or so and it never fails ,the heaviest rain usually from tropical storms and hurricanes, always falls during this time.
