Do Republicans realize that the Super Rich already enjoy the lowest tax rates since World War II?

...or do they just ignore facts?

cant you see that you are being used by corporate propaganda to freeze tax rates for the Super Rich, which Bush got to the lowest rates since World War II by claiming that they were temporary?

its so obvious that it truly makes me believe that Republican Voters are literally retarded.

Update:

they have 99% of the money, so OF COURSE they pay 95% of taxes. that is the dumbest Republican "argument" to date. we understand mathematics... we'd pay 95% of the taxes too if we had 99% of the money. DUH

You're the one ignoring the facts. In 1980, the top tax rate was 70%. Under President Reagan's wise policy, the top tax rate was reduced to 28% (and the economy boomed!)

The current top rate is 35%, which, last time I checked, is higher than 28%.

What may be confusing you is that income tax receipts are currently low because of the bad economy. That proves that higher tax rates do not necessarily mean more revenue.

Do you realize that only 47% of the country actually pays taxes? Why should a "super rich 1%-er" who makes $1 million a year have to pay $300,000 of it in taxes? The problem is two-fold: the government spends and then tries to raise taxes to support it and half the country isn't paying taxes. The rising federal deficit isn't a revenue problem, it's a spending problem...

The more money you have the more you get taxed. ONLY 65% of people in america actually pay taxes. Quit complaining, you probably only pay the minimum of the "poor class".

As you do not work, you pay no taxes.

BTW. President Obama extended those "temporary" Bush tax cuts. I guess you chose to ignore that fact.

"In 2009, the top 1 percent of tax returns paid 36.7 percent of all federal individual income taxes and earned 16.9 percent of adjusted gross income (AGI)" ---- The Tax Foundation

Republicans believe that any tax on the super rich is too much. Newt wants to eliminate the capital gains tax.

They paid 90% during WW ll and it didn't phase them, now the starting rate is 35% but few actually pay that much. Romney"s 13.9% is a more realistic figure. Working class people pay higher than that.
