How can I learn java proggraming and how to use it.?
I want to know a free way to learn java, and I want to know how to use it, when I say use it I mean what program do I need to be able to make java scripts and compile them.

there are free java tutorials on youtube.com . there are almost 83 small tuts. im just doing the same and its really helpful. the following is the link , click it and enjoy.

There are different levels of Java, if you're just putting it in a web page you can script it right into the page itself. If you want to make stand alone applications you can go download the Java SDK from www.java.com for free.
Just Google for Java tutorials and find a site that has a teaching style you like, there's a billion out ther and it's pretty easy once you get the hang of it.
You may even want to learn HTML first as it's a simple mark up language it's kind of an in between from English to Java.
