um..prob somehwere in the middle.....prob not much different then the way he is vieed today i would guess...he wrote a lot of musicals and lot of it it is good, popular and catchy
personally i absolutely adore jesus christ superstar, every song is so good and regardless of religious belief who doesn't find the story amusing....i mean i couldn't give **** about cats or phantom of the opera, but jesus christ is undeniably an interesting story and the music is fantastic
