I can't load certain websites?

I cannot log into my AOL mail service, Hotmail chat (not MSN) says 'Chat is not available at this time.', and Facebook doesn't load a lot of the images on my newsfeed. I'm running Windows 7 64 bit, and I've both cleared the cache and compressed files, and I bought the computer new no longer than 4 months ago. I'm using Internet Explorer, if it helps.

    Disconnect and then reconnect internet

    Go into command prompt and type in ipconfig /flushdns

    This seems to solve it for me.
