Should I buy another guinea pig?
My two year old female guinea pig Polychromia died a few weeks ago. My guinea pig Jeanette lived in the same cage with her until a few weeks before she died. Jeanette has a vitamin C deficiency and sore legs. She has been having snuggle time with my five year old buck mini lop rabbit and seems to be fine, but I really don't want her to die too. The question is, should she have a guinea pig friend? (after she gets over her illness)

If you want another one. She will be ok alone though if you play with her a lot. The only reason you need two is if you don't see them a lot or don't play with them a lot. They do fine either way but if you have two they might get jealous. So either way is good. Hope your guinea pig gets better

I think you should wait and see how she is acting after she is no longer ill. In the meantime, keep her away from the bunny, that situation would make me nervous. I understand trusting your pets, I have a declawed male 14 yr old cat who licks my piggies clean if given the chance. But he is never allowed to do so for more than a few seconds as I don't want him to be accidentally rough with them. Your bunny has very powerful legs...
These are about grieving piggies and what to do to ease them along through it.
