Is it safe to re-use lubricant containers?

I have a lubricant container that is easier to use than other ones i have, and now that it has come to an end, i was wondering if it is safe to transfer other ones to this easier to use container.

Thank you for your help.

Update:

it's a personal lubricant, i could physically refill it, i was just pondering if it was safe to do so. I.E. contamination.

No you run the risk of an old container growing some sort of bacteria in it , over time the risk will increase.New one will be sterile and therfore safer.

Are we talking about lubricant like oil to lube hinges or a personal lubricant? Things like WD-40 and similar spray lubricants are pressurized and not refillable. I can't think of a lubricant container that COULD be refilled other than like a small tube of Astroglide or K-Y from a larger quart sized container. If you describe the container you are referring to it would help make suggestions possibly.

Don't do it. Your wellbeing is more important than any saving or convenience . If you are thinking of a handy way to grease up your bicycle chain, pleas ignore my previouse comment.
