Of 204 Founding Fathers, 56 of whom signed the Declaration of Independence:

Religious Affiliation of U.S. Founding Fathers, # of Founding

Fathers, and % of Founding Fathers (in that order):

    Episcopalian/Anglican 88 54.7%

    Presbyterian 30 18.6%

    Congregationalist 27 16.8%

    Quaker 7 4.3%

    Dutch Reformed/German Reformed 6 3.7%

    Lutheran 5 3.1%

    Catholic 3 1.9%

    Huguenot 3 1.9%

    Unitarian 3 1.9%

    Methodist 2 1.2%

    Calvinist 1 0.6%

    TOTAL 204

Although Jefferson did not associate with a specific denomination he stated himself many times that he believed in God. So to answer your question. None of the 56 signers of the Declaration of Independence were Atheist. But that really doesn't mean anything. The fact is that we in the USA believe in the Freedom of Religion. And we also believe in the separation of Church and State, namely that The State, should not be able to choose a religion for us and shouldn't practice favoritism that would necessarily limit our ability to choose to believe how and what we may.

    Those are the facts.

@Phil - Please cite your source. I never read any such thing. It would be ludicrous to suppose that the founding fathers would force a person to believe in religion in order to sign a document that is made to secure Freedom of Religion. It's a bit of a hypocritical Oxy-moronic stance to take don't you think?

Sovereign sovereignty, do to the 10 commandments should the state constitution laws will never change.. now I know and it will never happen again... whether it's all technology or not personal experience... economic growth and globalization is not my jurisdiction California state is my home. Being the father and mother man , men state god and bad laws of the land .. if one wishes to leave it's a mans duty to let his son know ahead of time .. un equally it's unethical non universal declaration of human rights can't alter it .. the system been established u can't get away from the law .... but an innocent natural man is literally " above the law " this is constitutional foundation..... birthright.. without prejudice against my family as we'll nor the official.. not States so it's literally giving to god .. but I don't want extra credit cash so my currupt family takes advantage.. man is for themselves why inherent something that not urs.. not even mother and father... disappointed but what it is my son why do I tell him to believe and .. both family step family and friendship hard I'm a dog

You could not declare yourself an atheist and still be accepted in upper society back then; still hard today. None later admitted to this, so it is safely assumed all believed in a Creator, maybe not in the biblical reasoning though. Many people believe in God but not in religion, then and now

None were atheists, some were deists who believe in God but not so much on organized religion.

Nobody knows because in those days it was not healthy to admit being an atheist.
