Kindle, fire, ipad 7", fire 2?

Hi so, im a high schooler and i got a nook color, and i hate it. Im gonna sell it for $150, and i really do want a reading tablet because I love reading. So ive heard the kindle fire is everything i thought the nook would be, reading tablet that is a hybrid of an ereader and a tablet. I was also thinking of getting just a regular kindle, you know, because like, i have a laptop, do I really need a tablet? I also heard that in a few months the new ipad will come out as a 7 inc and will be $300 which is awesome. But again, im a high schooler, do I really need an ipad? I also heard the kindle fire 2 is coming out later in the year and will fix any screw ups it had. Any advice?

I think you should hold on there buddy, Summer is almost here and there is gonna be a hell of alot of new products. So I don't think buying now is a good time. Save money and wait. If you buy now, there will be something new coming out before ur eyes.

Since you love reading, I think you'll be better off with an e-ink reader. They are less flexible than tablets, but they're very good for what they do. They're smaller and more lightweight, don't promote eye strain and have a long battery life. If you want to listen to music while reading, avoid the base Kindle 4 - it's the only model that doesn't support audio files. The others do. Also, since the e-ink readers are cheaper, that will help you to save money either for more books or for an iPad 3 whenever it gets released, if you really want it.

If you've purchased books on the Nook, transferring them will be a problem since the Kindle and Nook use different file formats. there's a free program called Calibre that's kind of like iTunes for ebooks - it organizes your collection and can convert files as well as allowing you to read them. If there's no DRM on the files you have, Calibre can convert them to .mobi for the Kindle.

Since you have a Nook Color, and hated it, I doubt that the Kindle Fire would suit you. The Kindle Fire is similar to the Nook Color except that Amazon has more content and apps. I would just recommend saving your money for the ipad 3 when it comes out. No one knows if the ipad will come out in a 7 inch or at the cost of $300. No word on the Kindle Fire 2 or when it will be release or look like.

Reading the publication instead of seeing the movie is the best way to see what the writer designed. Reading uses your thoughts, hones your reading skills, and can transform your vocabulary.
