The simple answer is yes. Most football players would be considered the 1%.

OWS does not protest the fact that there are rich people.

They ARE protesting the fact that there are rich people using their wealth in ways that subjugate the masses, collude with others to bleed money away from the less powerful, control political interest worldwide, and change laws to benefit their wealth at the expense of the less fortunate.

The NFL play a dangerous game and get paid for it.

SOME NFL owners, would be part of the 1% that are being protested.

Other owners do not wield their wealth as a weapon against the middle class.

The OWS movement is not protesting wealth.

The OWS movement is protesting the malfeasance of corporations ...

... and the way in which they use money to entrench systems by which they can CONTINUE to pursue malfeasance - - - by pouring money into the political system - - - and PERVERTING Capitalism.

This is nearly the IDENTICAL protest of the TEA PARTY ... until the Tea Party became synonymous with whacked out racists.
