What to do with my older horses?

I have a horse and a pony, 18 and 25. They are retired show horses and only ridden for pleasure now. A few years ago my neighbor, who had property nearby, let me keep my horses there (I lost my farm to divorce). To make a very long story short - he has been nothing but a pain in my butt ever since. Lets just say he has left such a bad taste in my mouth that I could almost care less if I ever rode again. I can't afford to move the horses to a boarding facility and do not own enough property of my own. Although they are both older, there is nothing wrong with them to constitute euthanizing them. I live in Michigan where our economy is non-existant and rescue shelters have been overwhelmed and can no longer accept animals. I don't know what to do as I am at the end of my rope! Any ideas?

Try looking up private owners who rescue older horses for a life of ease I seen one some where where horses are to live the rest of their lives never ridden or beaten. Believe this may of been in fl all you can do is check around and lets hope you find great homes for these wonderful animals. Good Luck
