  • Repairing blanket straps?

It seems every winter, the sursingle blanket straps that cross under the belly, come unhooked and she steps on them and breaks them. Sigh...any good ideas on how to repair them or where to buy hardware for them? I can't seem to find anything anywhere to repair them and I HATE having to buy a new blanket every time this happens. As of course, it will slide sideways etc when it's only hooked in one spot.

Any ideas? Any online places that sell hardware (clips etc)? Places to order such things? Thanks for your help :)

  • Husband snooped in my phone?!?

I have been with my husband for almost six years, three of which married. He has always given me attitude about going/hanging out with my girlfriends. He goes out and I never say a word 'cause I trust him. Lately things haven't been good.

This morning I left my phone on the charger next to my bed when I took a shower. My husband was still in bed. Later, I came in to get it and pack my stuff for work. I noticed that it was not in the same place I left it. I also have a password pattern lock on my phone because I have left it at work during lunch a few times and didn't want co-workers snooping. The lock tells me if it has been tampered with. Well, this morning it was. He tried getting into my phone.

I'm not doing anything wrong or sneaking behind his back. Although a marriage is supposed to be two people becoming one and blah blah blah...I feel there are some things that need to remain private to the individual. Like my purse, his wallet, my phone, and his phone. I NEVER snoop in his phone or wallet. I am absolutely furious. But I don't know what I should do...

Do I act like I didn't notice? Do I call him out on it? I don't want to seem too defensive or give him a reason to suspect anything by how angry I am. Am I wrong to be upset over this? Any help is appreciated. Thanks :)

  • How do I fix our sex life?

My husband and I have been together for 5 1/2 years. Although the sex has never been great it's gotten progressively worse. He is a short shooter and tends to roll off even if I haven't achieved an orgasm yet. There are other ways he can help me with that but he won't. I have talked to him about it and yet nothing changes. He also does NOTHING to make me feel like a sexy, desirable woman either which I told him about recently. Not long ago, after that conversation, I came out of the shower naked and cuddled up to him telling him he should get naked too. His response was to shrug his shoulders and say, "meh." This after I had just told him he doesn't make me feel good about myself. I'm so heartbroken I don't know what to do anymore. Desperate enough to ask for help here of all places. :(

  • Do I need to cycle my tank if...?

I need to move my female strawberry peacock cichlid to another tank. She's causing too much hostility. Would I need to cycle, say a 10 gallon tank, if I put rocks and water into it from the existing tank? My water perimeters are fine in the other tank.

  • WHY do you think people are so mean on here?

I personally think the world's going to hell in a handbasket. Why do you think people are so mean to eachother on Answers, Facebook, etc.?

My explanation is that it's easy to be an ****** when you're behind a computer.

  • My African cichlids: are they sick?

I have a 90 gallon tank with african cichlids, mostly peacocks. I have two hybrid peacocks that I got from a friend a couple of years ago. They are both males. One has developed dominant colors and the other is the subordinate (same species of hybrid from same batch) sporting his youth colors.

Recently, both have stopped eating. The subordinate hides in the corner while puffing, finning, and changing to dominant colors with no provocation. Once the dominant fish sees him he swoops in and they have a puffing and coloring contest until the subordinate gives in, returns to his youth color, and goes back to hide. The dominant also hides in that corner but in the upper portion of the tank. I am certain that they are both male.

What the heck is going on? They don't show any other signs of illness just this weird behavior and not eating. I've never experienced this before - is this a dominance challenge? It's been going on for 5-6 days now.

  • How to get my Lab to "speak"?

I have three dogs. My two mixed breeds "speak" on command. I taught my oldest dog when she was a puppy by having me give the command with another person "barking". She caught on quick. My other mixed breed learned quickly from her. My chocolate lab...well, he's special. He sits, lays down, stays, shakes, and even learned high-five this past year (he's 5). But no matter what I do he won't "speak". The other two sit there barking their heads off while I'm giving the command, my husband and I are barking, and the lab just sits there looking so confused. Any ideas? Or should I just give up and teach some other tricks?

  • What to do with my older horses?

I have a horse and a pony, 18 and 25. They are retired show horses and only ridden for pleasure now. A few years ago my neighbor, who had property nearby, let me keep my horses there (I lost my farm to divorce). To make a very long story short - he has been nothing but a pain in my butt ever since. Lets just say he has left such a bad taste in my mouth that I could almost care less if I ever rode again. I can't afford to move the horses to a boarding facility and do not own enough property of my own. Although they are both older, there is nothing wrong with them to constitute euthanizing them. I live in Michigan where our economy is non-existant and rescue shelters have been overwhelmed and can no longer accept animals. I don't know what to do as I am at the end of my rope! Any ideas?

  • Saw him kiss another girl...should I rat him out?

He's my ex bf but we're still friends. I'm dating one of his friends. I made friends with his gf. She's awesome.

He wasn't faithful with me. And I've confirmed he isn't with her either. I saw him kiss another girl and then he took her in the house (we were working on a car in the shop).

What should I do? I don't want to get in the middle but it kills me to see him do the same thing to her. I got really hurt but forgave him bc i'm close with his family. It makes me so mad! Help!

  • I see a friend in a different/romantic way?

We've known each other for over a year - he's my neighbor. My roommate became my bf a long time ago...and my neighbor has ALWAYS been a best friend. He's always there when I need him and I tell him things I wouldn't tell others - including my bf. He has a gf but she doesn't know some things about him and prob wouldn't be okay (she's a GOOD girl). Anyway, we both really like each other and have talked about this - we're not cheaters! Nothing has ever happened! But we both want something to...we don't know what to do! We both can't wait to see each other, get nervous around each other...Gosh, I thought I was too old for this! Help!

  • I get threatened with being kicked out?

Every time my bf and I get into an arguement, he threatens to kick me out - or says "pack your s**t and get out". He does this bc I've needed help financially the last year (lost my job) and although I pay my half of stuff, he helps with gas, groceries etc. He told me he would help me and take care of me, that he wanted to, blah blah blah...how come he keeps holding it over my head? How many times do I let him say that b4 I just go? I've heard it at least 10 times over the last year. It wasn't like this b4, now everything has suddenly changed and I owe him?

  • How do I get over my horse's death?

My mare recently passed away in the most horrible way. She was getting her hooves trimmed and was tied (i wasn't there - I know better than to tie her) and something spooked her. Not uncommon since she was a hothead and went blind in one eye. She reared up, hit her head on the beams, and went down out cold. She never got back up.I froze, in my work scrubs (vet assistant) trying to keep control of her as she thrashed about trying to get up. She ended up in the walk-way, tore part of the barn apart, we had to hold her down and wait for the vet to tranquilize her so we could roll her onto a tarp and pull her back out! But alas, she thrashed again later and got cast really bad in the back corner of the run-in.Hours later, she had gashes bleeding all over her head, her legs were scraped up, and she was giving up. I asked the vet who keeps her there to go into town and get the euthanasia solution.I've seen some bad stuff in my line of work - but this is so hard! I feel like I died w/ her!

  • Growth hormones, pharmeceuticals in H2O...?

Do you think that the gov't is pulling the wool over our eyes when it comes to these issues? Do you think they're safe?

Do you think that ultimately it's no surprise we all end up with cancer?
