CHEAP, CHEAP CHEAP vacation spots?
My boyfriend and I got invited on a vacation with his best friend's family in June. They have two beach front properties rented out and we were both going to pay $100 a piece to cover the fees. Food and gas would be at our own expense. (we live in St. Louis, and we're driving to South Carolina) So I figured for the whole week, it would cost us about $400-$500 a piece, considering extra stuff, like water sports, bike rentals, a restaurant or two and shopping. Well we found out today that his friend might not be able to get off of work, which means we won't be going. My boyfriend suggested that we go somewhere else in case this falls through. I don't want to spend anymore than I had originally planned because two weeks after I get back, I'm leaving again on my family's vacation. (to the same destination, ironically.) Is there anywhere that we could go that is in a tropical climate for that price? He wants to go out of the country, like the Bahamas. But I told him unless we find a crazy, incredibly cheap package or website, that won't be happening. I've looked on all of the travel sites and have found really affordable trips that include all-inclusive hotel + round trip flight. But none that I can save up for by June. The cheapest place I've found is Cancun. Even if we went for 3-4 nights, that would be cool. Any other suggestions though??
@Pirate- You, my friend, are the epitome of the phrase, 'Ignorance is bliss.'

Puerto Rico is relatively cheap for all the great places and things to do there. Almost anywhere you go in the Caribbean is going to be expensive, but the vast majority of the money you spend goes to your airfare alone. I recommend staying within the continental U.S. and driving there. The states in the gulf have lots of stuff to do.

properly I rather have 4 human beings in my family members so i wanted $1800 to bypass to SD and it substitute right into a great trip. in case you have greater then 4 I advise perhaps like $2000. yet purchase the tickets and then e book a lodge. I advise which you e book a flight with the lodge. We booked it via Expedia and it labored great! We bypass via Midwest and the lodge substitute into the handlery. If do e book a visit to San Diego, use handlery; they have a bistro in there it kinda high priced tho. in case you have engough money, see the wild animal park, sa international, and the zoo. My family members didn'y get to be certain sea international because of the fact we did no longer have the money for left so %. the only you desire the main and then next etc. So the only you have final, you ought to no longer be that dissapointed in case you do no longer make it. a sturdy thought is to attempt and plan until now you depart. i wish this facilitates and have a visit in case you return to a selection to bypass!!

Um.. This is a CARIBBEAN TRAVEL site.. just WHERE is South Carolina located in the CARIBBEAN.. Even a stupid REDNECK from Missouri should know at least enough about GEOGRAPHY to realize South Carolina is NOT IN THE CARIBBEAN... Besides that.. LEARN HOW TO USE PARAGRAPHS.. only a piece of Missouri trailer trash would type just one long sentence
Of COURSE you want CHEAP... Americans ALLWAYS WANT CHEAP... they want the cheapest of everything becaus they have no CLASS.
