30 yo with bad credit, can I get funding for college?

I am a 30 year old going back to school. I have 400 credit score and no co-signer. I have a part time job and no savings. I got an 0 on my EFC for Fafsa what are my options for funding school? I heard some loans are not based on credit and don't need co-signers but I can't seem to find that information anywhere. Please do not send me links to finaid.org or fafsa.org I need direct answers here.

the FAFSA application that you filled out is for both Pell Grants & Federal Student Loans (the ones that don't require good credit)

there are no other loans without good credit or a very strong co-signer

so, your next step is to get with the school where you plan to go.... make sure you have done admissions and financial aid application with them

then they can help you figure it out from there

the thing is... we don't have any way of knowing what your school will be able to offer you... only they will have this information

Are you planning on going to a community college or a university?

how do you plan to support yourself while in school (because the amount of loans on FAFSA is very limited)

If you plan to go to a community college, you might have a small amount left over with a combination of grants & loans, but still not much

The FAFSA you filled out is how you can get loans with bad credit and no cosigner. You have no other options for loans unless you fix your credit or get a cosigner. How do you support yourself on only a part time job? You will need to continue working while in school.

Find another job so you can save more till you can go to school. Took me 6 yrs to graduate from college with no student loans. I worked 1 semester & went to school the next.

All loans are based on credit. Even when they say no credit check they ask for your SSN because they check your credit. A 400 credit score is not going to get you any loans. Financial aid is your only option.
