Issue with MS Word 2007....?

So When I open a word document from the Recent Items from the Windows Start Menu I get this pop up " This command cannot be performed because a dialogue box is open. Click OK, and then close open dialogue boxes to continue." This has been happening for a week or so and as soon as I close that message the document opens fine, but I don't know why it keeps popping up before every word doc is opened? Plus, there are no open dialogue boxes for me to close. Its just becoming a nuisance and I would like it to stop. Can anyone help?I've already checked the appdata folder and there is nothing to delete.

    I never open a document from the Windows Start Menu. Open Word 2007 and open a document from the menu at the top left bar. If you want a little better visual, upgrade to Word 2010.
