Is white rice fattening ?
Okay, today my mom cooked some Asian food which is supposed to be eaten with white rice. I liked it very much and kept eating it non-stop like I have 2 ounces of cooked rice every 2 hours, I have eaten for like 3 times today. I usually stay away from white rice cause I thought it's fattening. So, will I gain weight ? :( Also, I drink like 13 glasses of water a day.

There are approximately 75 calories in 2 oz. of cooked white rice, depending on what what type of rice your Mom used (long grain, short grain, basmati, etc.). If there are other ingredients in the rice that would increase the calories. If the rice has no additional ingredients, three 2oz servings would only add up to 325 calories, which should not cause you to gain weight. However, plain white rice is empty calories, meaning it has little or no nutrition and if you eat enough of anything, you will eventually gain weight.
Water has nothing to do with weight gain as it has no calories.

Well it is carbs but if you have enough vegetables and protiens (you drink water) so thats good just keep a balanced diet and don't eat too much and also try substituting it with brown rice as thats good for the heart and generally healthier

The food you're eating with the rice is probably more likely to cause you to gain-many asian dishes are high in fat.
The problem with white rice is that it has all the calories but none of the fiber of brown rice, so it digests very quickly and then you are hungry again-as you discovered.

It has carbo and sugar in it so it will make u gain weight eventually if u eat lots of it everyday.
but no it doesnt contain fat just make u gain more weight.

it will make you gain weight later on if you do eat it more that you have to.
lots of carbs in there. But if you do workouts regularly, then it wouldnt be a problem.
